Marisha is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to helping individuals heal, grow, and thrive. An alumna of North Carolina Central University, she blends her personal experiences, clinical expertise, and deep passion for mental wellness to provide compassionate, client-centered care.
As the author of Big Mama Was Wrong, a book challenging mental health misconceptions in the Black community, Marisha is committed to breaking stigmas and fostering healing conversations. Her insights have been featured on CBS 17 and WDTV, where she has served as a trusted mental health resource.
With over a decade of experience, Marisha has worked with children, families, veterans, individuals experiencing homelessness, and older adults in diverse settings. She specializes in creating safe spaces for self-discovery, empowerment, and transformation—whether through therapy, workshops, or community advocacy.
Marisha believes that healing is personal, growth is intentional, and everyone deserves a path forward. She integrates purpose, creativity, and education to equip clients with the tools they need to reclaim their wellness.
